Leading U.S. Business Simulation Company Strengthens International Capabilities through Russian Training Consortium
Philadelphia, PA , August 9, 2006 - Strategic Management Group, Inc. (SMG), the world leader in developing and implementing scenario and numerical business simulations that support change management and improved profitability, has signed a $315,000, three-year deal with The Center for Business Skills Development Thunderbird (CBSD) for exclusive distribution of SMG’s simulations in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The signed agreement extends a distribution arrangement begun in 1996. Corporations with locations in Russia and the CIS and professionals based locally can receive SMG training courses, delivered by top trainers, in Moscow and Kiev locations.
The deal with CBSD is one of several recently signed agreements restating strong international distribution partnerships for SMG since the company was purchased by BTS USA, Inc. in February 2005. SMG now can distribute its premier simulations for business acumen, leadership, project management, and sales with local trainers, in the local language and in local currency. Combined with parent company BTS’ international locations and alliances, SMG can deliver business simulation solutions on six continents.
“SMG is the best in the world at business simulations and CBSD is pleased to be their exclusive provider in Russia,” said Dennis Hopple, Managing Director of CBSD. “As a premier business training facility in the region, we seek to provide the best and most well-known training materials the world has to offer; SMG has increasingly been exceeding our expectations.”
“We constantly assess the needs of Russian businesses for new training materials. Our philosophy is to work with the companies who are the best at what they do,” continued Hopple. “Both SMG and our access to BTS capabilities such as board simulation and elearning, allow us to be the best at what we do for corporate Russia.”
“CBSD Thunderbird represents one of the premier locations for business training in Russia and surrounding countries,” said Rommin Adl, President & CEO, SMG, Inc. “We’re pleased to formalize a new distribution arrangement with them to take us to 2009.”
